Meet Susan, our Quality Assurance Operator who plays a critical role in upholding SYNC’s benchmark for excellence.

With her sharp eye for detail and strong work ethic, she helps deliver pods that are built right — every time.

Can you describe your role as a Quality Assurance Operator at SYNC? What does a typical day look like for you?

My job is to ensure the bathroom pods we build meet high-quality standards.vThis involves checking each unit at multiple stages of production, from the initial assembly to the final sign off before it leaves the facility. I focus on inspecting components like tiles, membranes, and fixtures and caulking.

How does SYNC ensure their products meet quality standards?

At SYNC, quality is a priority. I conduct detailed visual inspections and measurements to ensure everything aligns with the specifications. This includes checking plumbing and electrical components, verifying that all finishes and fixtures are securely installed. I also follow strict compliance guidelines to meet industry regulations and customer expectations. Beyond the technical checks, communication is key. I work closely with the production team to address any issues early and provide feedback for continuous improvement.  By staying proactive, I make sure every pod that leaves the facility is built to last and meets SYNC’s reputation for quality. I’m proud of the work that we all do and the quality we deliver.

What led you to a career in Quality Assurance?

I’ve always had an eye for detail! Over time, I developed an appreciation for the impact quality assurance has-on customer satisfaction and the company’s reputation. When the opportunity came up to bring my skills to the bathroom pod industry, it felt like the perfect fit.

How does flexibility help you balance your work and personal life?

One of the biggest advantages of working at SYNC is the flexible working conditions. Working in a controlled environment with flexible hours ensures I’m recharged and also able to prioritise life outside of work. This balance helps me stay focused, energised, and consistently perform at my best. It has allowed me to be more productive and energized when I’m at work because I feel well-rested and less stressed. Outside of work, I’ve been able to take care of personal responsibilities more easily and enjoy more downtime, which has made a big difference in my overall well-being.
